The Michael Jackson rehearsal flick "This is It," continued to lead in the box office topping all other concert films taking in $103 million in the first five days.
On Sunday, the film beat projections by production company Sony by raking in $8.3 million.
The movie surprised many critics who expected something completely different from this film. According to the website rottentomatoes.com, This is It garnered 81 percent favorable reviews.
MJ looks surprisingly energetic in the film and not all like the downtrodden images that many remember during his well-publicized trial.
Sony has extended the movie's release, which was originally scheduled to end after two weeks, through to the Thanksgiving holiday.
The late Michael Jackson's newly-released single "This is It," is actually a remake of a song written by Jackson and Paul Anka many years ago.
In this version, the lyrics have been changed, orchestration added, and the Jacksons are doing the backup vocals. Wasn't impressed initially, but after hearing it over several times, I think it will be a big hit.
The movie will be widely released on Oct. 28 worldwide and as already breaking box office records in early sales.
Tickets for the Michael Jackson Tribute in Vienna, Austria are now on sale via the official website.
The concert will take place on September 26 and will be hosted by MJ's brother and former Jackson 5 member Jermaine Jackson, and the World Media Awards group. Schönbrunn Palace, the old haunt of the Hapsburg Dynasty will serve as venue in accordance with Michael Jackson's fascination with castles and palaces.
Jermaine Jackson will announce the lineup of performers during a press conference in Vienna at the end of August.
Ticket prices will range from 63 Euros for standing room only to 518 Euros for prime Gold seating. The ticket price includes fare for Vienna's public transportation system.
A substantial part of the proceeds for the event will go to three selected charities: Larry Jones’ Feed The Children, The Larry King Cardiac Foundation and Jermaine’s own Earth Care Foundation.

"Slumdog Millionaire" topped the heap with four Golden Globe awards on Sunday making it the current favor for the Academy Awards in February.
The picture, a Bombay-based love story about a kid from slums who wins a fortune on a reality game show, won the best drama award, best director (Danny Boyle), best screenwriter( Simon Beaufoy) and best composer (A.R. Rahman).

New Star Trek Movie Props on Display at this year’s CES Convention in Las Vegas!
Lenovo, one of the marketing partners on STAR TREK, will be displaying three original props from the upcoming feature film at this years CES Convention in Las Vegas. Included in this display are Kirk’s Communicator, Uhura’s Communications Unit and Bones’ Medical Tricorder.
Visitors can view these props in front of the AquaKnox restaurant at the Venetian Hotel starting tonight at 6pm (Wednesday, January 7th) through midnight (12am) on Friday, January 9th.
