Jackie Chan says "have a heart for dogs"

Hong Kong martial arts star Jackie Chan called on China to "have a haeart for dogs" after thousands of animals were killed recently to fight a rabies outbreak, the animal rights group PETA said on Thursday.

Chan and PETA are campaigning to stop the mass killing of dogs and urging the use of vaccinations instead.

"With Jackies help, we hope to make dog culling a thing of the past," says PETA Asia-Pacific Director Jason Baker. "Humane rabies prevention programs not only save dogs lives, they also save human lives."

Tiger seizes lead at Bridgestone

Tiger Woods pulled out another win at the Bridgestone Invitational golf tournament Sunday marking his 52nd victory on the PGA tour.

Woods is the defending champion at this event and has previously won four times in the six times the tournament has been held at Firestone.

In related news, Tiger called for drug testing in golf to prevent the sue of perfomance-enhancing substances.

Koeran star Eugene Kim picked to promote Philippine tourism

Korean actress Eugene Kim arrived in Manila Thursday to begin a series of visits to popular Philippine tourist destinations.

Her trip will be covered by a Korean TV network and by print media accorsing to the Department of Tourism (DOT), which picked Kim to promote the country to the lucrative South Korean travel market.

Kim is popular in the country through the Korean telenovelas Save the Last Dance for Me and Wonderful Life. Her appearance on the highly-popular show Wowowee was a hit with Philippine audiences.
