Lou Diamond Philipps arrested for alleged domestic abuse

Lou Diamond Philipps, famed for his roles in "La Bamba" and "Young Guns" was arrested for alleged domestic abuse, Los Angeles police authorities said

"There was a verbal argument which escalated into physical abuse, and he was charged with cohabitant abuse," said Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson, Sandra Escalante

Philipps who has recently made television appearances on Law and Order: SVU is being held on 50,000 dollars bail at the Devonshire Police Station.

Vijay Singh, Tiger Woods challenge Weir at Buick Open

Vijay Singh is king at the Buick Open where he as won three times and one of only two players to successfully defend a title at the tournament.

Singh is close on the heels of leader Mike Weir of Canada after rain disrupted the first round of play.

Tiger Woods, who won the British Open last month, is three shots back.

Singh is ranked No. 3 in the world but failed to make the cut at the British Open two weeks ago.

Jackie Chan and Jet Li move closer to movie deal

Jackie Chan and Jet Li are moving closer to a movie deal, Chan said Tuesday while promoting his new action comedy Rob-B-Hood.

"All the hurdles have been overcome. The only problem left is the script," Chan told the Associated Press.

"We need a script that he approves and I approve. If that goes well, shooting will start in March or April in Shanghai," he said.

Chan also said he will soon begin shooting on the third of the Rush Hour film series with Chris Tucker. The movie should be completed by March or April of next year.
